Sending documents by email

Published 06/08/2026

On the page of an issued document click “Send by email”. The PDF goes as an attachment, and a suggested subject and message are already filled in (the customer’s address is taken from the partner list).

Several recipients and a copy

The “+ Recipient” and “+ Copy (Cc)” buttons add addresses — e.g. to the customer and their accountant at the same time. At most 10 addresses per sending.

The reply comes to you, not to the platform

Technically the email is sent by duplo, but the Reply-To address is that of the signed-in user who sends it — when the customer replies, the reply lands in your inbox.

Signature

The signature from Settings → Email signature is added at the end of the message. If you have not set up a signature, an automatic one is used (company name, phone, email, website). The company logo can go with the signature — it is embedded in the email itself, so it shows in every email client.

Protection against sending twice

If the document has already been sent, the dialog greets you with a warning: “This document was already sent (when, to whom, who sent it)” — the information comes from the document history. Sending it again is still possible, but it no longer happens unknowingly.
