Software for accountants and accounting agencies You stay in control,
the programme does the typing.
The client issues invoices, receives e-invoices and imports bank statements in duplo, and each of those documents becomes a journal entry the moment it is created. You work in the same programme, in every company with one account: you review, correct, pull out ledgers, statements of open items and financial statements. The time that used to go on retyping stays with you — the same team can serve more clients.
An accountant in a client’s team pays nothing · Biro: 1 € a month per client company
01 / How it works
No forwarding of documents
Documents do not travel to you — you come to them, in the same programme the client creates them in.
- 01
The client invites you to the team
With the Accountant role; the invitation arrives by email, sign-in is by code, no password. It makes no difference whether you are employed by the company or an external accountant.
- 02
One account for every company
In the programme header you choose which company you are working in; each company counts you as a member of its own team.
- 03
Entries arise on their own and take effect immediately
On the “For review” page you confirm or correct them; a correction is a reversal plus a new entry, with a trace.
02 / How to set yourself up
Three ways to a client’s company
Open your own firm on your own account: for your own invoices Sveska (Notebook) is enough, for your own books Knjiga (Book) with the Accounting add-on, and with the Biro (Bureau) plan your firm gets the whole programme.
- No extra charge
The client invites you to the team
The client has their own plan and the Accounting add-on, you are a member of their team. You take up one seat in their plan (Knjiga 2, Kancelarija 3 seats).
- 1 € a month per company
Linking up through Biro
The client pays for duplo themselves, you have the Biro plan. You link up by PIB and your team keeps the books in their company without using their seats.
- 1 € a month per company
A client company under Biro
The client does not want their own programme: you open the company yourself, with their PIB. It gets the whole programme, and only your team works in it — the client has no access.
When a client who paid for themselves stops working in the programme, with both sides confirming you take over running their company on the same data. A client who already uses duplo is not opened again — the PIB lock prevents it, so you link up instead. Details are in the documentation (Serbian).
03 / The Accountant role
What you see and what you do
The owner invoices, you keep the books. If a client wants you to invoice on their behalf as well, they give you the Administrator role.
| Part of the programme | Accountant role |
|---|---|
| Documents, partners, items, inventory, business overview | sees everything |
| Received invoices — approving e-invoices, manual invoices, fiscal receipts, imports | can edit |
| Bank statements — import (XML or PDF from any bank) and matching of payments | can edit |
| VAT — the return for the period and VAT records on SEF | can edit (from the Knjiga plan) |
| Payroll and other personal income, fixed assets, travel orders | can edit (Kancelarija plan) |
| Bookkeeping — journal entries, ledgers, statements of open items, financial statements, year-end closing, chart of accounts | can edit (Accounting add-on) |
| Issuing invoices and other documents on behalf of the company | no — the owner does that |
| Company settings, team, subscription | no |
04 / Automatic journal entries
What is booked by itself
The accounts come from the Rulebook on the Chart of Accounts (89/2020), with your own sub-accounts. You change the automatic accounts in the programme — the change applies to future entries, what is already posted stays as it was created.
| Action in the company | Journal entry that arises |
|---|---|
| Issued invoice, advance invoice, credit note | revenue by type and VAT, customer with a reference for clearing; a credit note clears the invoice |
| Approved e-invoice from SEF or manually entered invoice | expense or inventory by purpose, VAT by right of deduction, supplier; remembered account per supplier |
| Imported bank statement | bank against customer or supplier by matching; bank charges to expense; unrecognised items to the suspense account |
| Closed payroll run or other personal income run | gross pay, contributions, taxes and liabilities for payment |
| Depreciation run, settled travel order | depreciation against accumulated depreciation; travel expenses against liabilities |
| Sale of goods, stocktake, own production | cost of goods sold at average cost; shortfall or surplus; finished products |
| Customs debt assessment (import) | import VAT and customs duty into the inventory value against the liability to customs; deducted once paid |
| Cash payment, VAT return for the period | supplier against cash; closing the VAT accounts to a liability or a tax credit |
05 / Control and reports
The books are live all year round
- Partner ledger by account with open items, opening balances and matching of payments by document number — including invoices from before the programme.
- Statement of open items (IOS) as at a chosen date, as a PDF or by email to the partner, with both sides of the balance.
- Trial balance, general ledger, account ledger and journal for a period, with PDF output.
- Balance sheet and income statement in the prescribed format as at any date, statistical report and year-end closing — exchange differences at 31 December, closing entries, closing and opening the year; the forms are PDFs to copy into the APR application.
- VAT page: the return compiled from documents by input VAT record group (e-invoices, other invoices, fiscal receipts, foreign suppliers, imports) and a comparison with what SEF sees, line by line as on the return.
- “For review”: unreviewed entries, transactions to allocate, documents that have not been posted — all in one place.
What comes in without SEF
Invoices from flat-rate entrepreneurs and foreign suppliers are entered manually with a PDF or a photo; a fiscal receipt is photographed with a phone; a cash payment is marked on the invoice; the customs debt assessment for imports has its own entry; a statement from any bank is imported as a PDF through a wizard that learns the column layout once.

07 / Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Does the accountant have to buy anything?
- No. The company buys its own plan (Knjiga or Kancelarija) and the Accounting add-on with its subscription. The accountant receives an invitation to the team and works without any charge — whether employed by the company or external. The Biro plan is a choice, not a requirement: for your own firm and for clients who do not have their own programme.
- How many clients can I manage with one account?
- Unlimited. Each company adds you to its team, and you switch between companies in the programme header. One sign-in with a code sent by email, no password.
- Do I take up a seat in the client’s plan?
- As an invited team member — yes: Knjiga has 2 seats, Kancelarija 3; each additional seat is 5 € a month (Sveska has no seat for an accountant and no Accounting add-on). With the Biro plan — no: you link up with the client’s company and your team works in it without using the client’s seats, with Accounting unlocked for your team.
- Can I issue invoices on behalf of a client?
- The Accountant role does not issue documents — that is a deliberate boundary: the owner invoices, you keep the books. If a client wants you to invoice on their behalf as well, they give you the Administrator role.
- What if an automatic journal entry is wrong?
- A correction is a reversal plus a new entry — the original stays visible in the journal; entries are never deleted. You change the account for the future in the automatic account mapping, without involving us. Transactions the programme could not allocate sit on the suspense account until you allocate them.
- Does it work with my year-end software?
- You do not need another programme for most of the work: the trial balance, general ledger, journal, account and partner ledgers, balance sheet, income statement and statistical report are printed to PDF, and the year-end closing (exchange differences, closing entries, closing and opening the year) is done in duplo. The tax balance sheet, the Notes and the XML for the APR (Business Registers Agency) remain with you — you copy the forms into the APR application.
- I manage clients who do not want their own programme — can I open them under my account?
- Yes, with the Biro plan (30 € a month billed annually): you open the client’s company yourself, with their PIB (tax ID), for 1 € a month per company (0,5 € from company 21 onwards). The company gets the whole programme, only your team works in it as Accountant, and the client has no access — if the client wants to invoice on their own, they register their own company and you link up with it. A client who already uses duplo is not opened again (PIB lock) — you link up instead.
What does not work yet
The tax balance sheet (PB 1 and PB 2 forms) and the Notes to the financial statements, the XML for import into the APR application (the APR has no public schema, so the forms are PDFs to copy over) and the cash flow and changes in equity statements — these you still do in your own programme. The add-on is in beta: modules arrive one by one, and what exists works.
